This is home. The Hangover sits on County Road 4106, a few minutes off US-175, and Crandall is the town in our address. Most nights the people on the patio live close enough to have come straight from practice, from the job site or from the couch. If you live in Crandall you don't need a reason to come by. You need a cold michelada and a table under the lights.
We're a trailer and a patio, and we like it that way. The kitchen window is where you order. The tacos come out in red baskets on foil. The micheladas come out with a chamoy and Tajín rim thick enough to count as a snack. There's no host stand and no dress code, and the kids are welcome to run between the picnic tables until it's time to go.
How to get here
CRANDALL → CR 4106 · 4.5 MI · ~10 MIN
From the middle of Crandall, get on US-175 heading southeast toward Kaufman. Stay on the highway a few miles, then take the exit for County Road 4106. Turn onto CR 4106 and look for the trailer, the palapa umbrellas and the string lights at 620. Ten minutes, give or take a red light.
Why Crandall makes the drive
For Crandall folks the pull is simple: it's close, it's cheap enough for a weeknight, and it's open late Friday through Sunday. Tacos are three bucks. Loaded nachos are $13.50 and two people can split them. A cubeta of six beers is $25. You can feed a family and watch the second half without anybody pulling out a card for a $90 tab.
Game days are the big ones. On Sundays the indoor room has the TVs going and the patio fills up early. If you've got a group from church, a team that just finished a game or cousins in from out of town, call ahead and we'll hold some tables together. And if the party is at your place, the trailer can come to you. We do birthdays, quinceañeras and backyard tailgates around Crandall.
Crandall has grown fast, and a lot of the new neighborhoods along FM-148 and US-175 are full of people who used to drive to Mesquite or Dallas for a decent michelada. You don't have to anymore. We're the patio right here in Kaufman County, and we'd rather you spend those 30 minutes at the table.
A weeknight in Crandall, done right
Wednesday is usually the quietest night, and that's when locals get the good tables. Order a round of tacos for the table, one of each meat, so everybody figures out their favorite. Add a quesadilla for the kid who doesn't eat tacos (there's always one), and finish with an elote en vaso grande to share. You'll be in and out in under an hour if you want to be, but most people don't want to be.
Weekends are a different animal. Friday and Saturday nights the patio fills with families early and with friend groups later, and we stay open until 11. If you're hosting relatives from out of town, bring them here before anywhere else in Crandall. It's the fastest way to show them what Kaufman County feels like on a warm night.
